The author recalls his communication with L. M. Vekker during her student days and in subsequent years, the content and style of Vekker's lectures, the researchers conducted under his leadership, the defense of her PhD thesis, contacts in an ordinary environment. The author also speaks about L. M. Vekker's unobtrusive and wise guidance in determining the direction of research. The author provides data on the development of applied psychological-pedagogical studies at a university, which are based on L. M. Vekker's theoretical ideas.
