Title	Schlomo Sigmund Freud

Abstract	Essay is written for the sesquicentennial of the birth of Sigmund Freud. Contrary to the jubilee tradition, attention is mainly paid not to "milestones of glorious way", but to the historical context of the fate of psychoanalysis and its creator. Formation of modern civilization in the late nineteenth – early twentieth centuries is, on the one hand, the crisis of worldview was fixed by previous centuries, on the other hand, the theory, hypotheses and practices that form the different attitude towards the world, the human community, giving the unprecedented high level of self-awareness. Psychoanalysis is one of those concepts. The history of its creation and the everyday circumstances of Freud is closely intertwined with the those wars, revolutions, the collapse of empires, the emancipation of European Jewry, the aggravation of the conflict between the rational-cosmopolitan view of the world and national-mystical insights.
