Construction of Worlds

The concept of constructivism in the humanities and social sciences, first of all in psychology, has been studied. It is shown that people's representations are constructed at all levels of people's organization: from biological and neurophysiological to social and linguistic. The main representatives of constructivism in psychology in Russia and abroad are indicated. The leading directions of constructivism in psychology are considered: constructivism in narrow meaning, radical constructivism, social constructivism, constructive realism and others. The constructivist views of A. G. Asmolov (praxeological constructivism) and V. F. Petrenko (epistemological constructivism) are analyzed in more detail. The contents of the articles presented in this issue of the journal, the general theme of construction of worlds, the diversity of approaches to construction of worlds by psychologists are shown.

Keywords: constructivism; directions of constructivism; social ideas; knowledge; pluralism; construction of worlds; social reality
