Title
Social determination of psyche and investigator's freedom in P.Ya. Galperin's "gradual formation of mental actions" method
Authors
Shabelnikov, Vitaly Konstantinovich
Abstract
The method of gradual formation of mental actions is often portrayed as a tough manipulation of respondents' psyche. But neither the psyche nor the formed actions are not an amorphous substrate. During the formation of action for Galperin method, the experimenter has to repeatedly change his ideas about the psychological structure of these actions. Psychologists face with an invisible reality which strictly defines the organization of the psyche. For the perception of that reality and formation of mental processes by its logic the plasticity of the psyche and imagination of psychologists are required.
